Casting

For our horror film opening we decided on having 2 characters. We decided on having a boy and a mother, due to the fact that this was the invention we saw when researching into the genre of horror films. We would need to select 2 characters around the age of 6-10 years old and an adult around 30+, but at this moment, there are 2 available people, which are Sophie’s brother and herself to be the actors. Even though Sophie is only 17 years old, she’s willing to be in the film, which makes everything a lot easier to film, as she knows what she has to do and we don’t need to waste time explaining anything, as we planned it ourselves. We think that these 2 characters are the most appropriate to act in our film opening in order to appeal to the needs of our target audience.
