evaluation- question 4





4. Who would be the audience for your media product?

Insidious is a film, which is also based on possession, which is why I did a research on it because it is similar to my film.

According to youGovProfies, most of insidious fans are female, aged between 25-39.
Most of the audiences have a career as an architecture and interior designer or community and social worker.  They usually spend their spare times on using the Internet, doing shopping online because they find it easier to shop on-line as it is quick and easy, but even though they like to shop, they always lookout for special offers as they think it’s stressful to be in debt.
They also spend 1-5 hours per week watch television because they spend more time on social network, such as FaceBook and Twitter. They spend their time on-line 36-40 hours per week.


The audience of our horror are people aged 18 and over, this is because it isn't appropriate for younger ages due to the content of strong violence, language and thriller in which people may find offensive and disturbing. We chose the certificate of 18 because we didn't have any dialogue in our film opening we didn't need to worry about bad language and there are no graphic scenes in order to be an 18. 



Our horror opening involves a lot of suspicion movements such as a kid holding a knife; therefore the target audience would have to include people who enjoy tension and suspense. Additionally, the audience would be people who enjoy films that use mystery as there’s throughout. Also, the soundtrack we use is a nursery rhyme, which is usually associated with children and it, is a convention of horror.
